i have been searching on google for it but all that comes up is the direction for the city hall in new york ! help please!

I was wondering how to go about applying/joining/campaigning for a City Council or School Board position? Who do I contact to submit an application? Any help would be appreciated.

I am interested in this question too. I am not sure where to start. I have been told volunteering, toastmasters, lions, etc. Things like that to get involved and get my name out…any advise on that aspect of it? Have you been involved already? If yes, how did you start?
