Is running for city council worth it?
I’m considering running for city council in a very small suburban city. It only cost $10 and I have to get 50 signatures. Is being a city councilperson worth it? I would like us to have more parks and better streetscaping, but other than that, I have no huge qualms about how things are being run. The seat is open though, and I’d like to get involved in my community.
It’s worth it if you truly care for your city, and hope to make it a nicer place to live.
If you see it as a stepping stone to higher office, you’ll be disappointed.

Why the City Council put fines on motorists when they do something wrong. Instead the City Council can do everything wrong things you want without any motorist can get a fine?
We need to keep goverment under constant watch. Local militias should watch politicians, cops ,judges, prosecuters and any other public official under 24 hour surveilance and when they step out of line citizens arrest and if that doe not work a good lynching should set them straight. Afterall they are civil servants and they expect to be taken care of for the rest of their lives so if they do wrong they should give their lives. They will do a better job if they work under fear from being strung up. And remember to support guns for the homeless as the 2nd amendment is for all!
How do you run for city council?
More specifically, I’m in westminster, california and just wondering if anyone knew how hard it was to run for city council. It seems like it would be insanely easy to win with absolutely no experience, but I’m just curious as to what the requirements would typically be to run for city council (law degree? college degree? nothing?) Thanks
Look for the Board of Elections website. They have a lot of good information to get you started.

That kind of job is to do with dealing with society and rules so its best to do A Levels in sociology, law and politics. And then you could progress to university to do a law or sociology degree. And also remember to get work experience as soon as possible that will be impressive on your CV. Good luck!
