how scarcity affects the following decision-makers President of USA, Business exec., city manager, mother?

I need to write 5 page paper on the following topic questions, would like some feedback. Thanks

Economics is a choice driven by scarcity. Scarcity means that society does not have enough resources to produce all the goods and services we want to consume.

Explain how scarcity affects the following decision-makers:
The president of the United States
A business executive
A city manager
The mother of a baby

Explain how the choices made between governments spending of taxpayer money or taxpayers spending that money themselves, affect the allocation of society’s resources. Give reasons.

The president has to choose the options on the production possibility curve. And if we are still inside the curve, it is his responsibility to make it move to the curve. The CEOs have profit functions to maximize, and answer to the Congress if they ask. A city manager has done the same thing, but in smaller scale. And the mother of a baby has only to give a big kiss with love wating for someone who want to know what the real housewife is all about for his next action flick.

Do you think that Man City have another Manager already lined up?

Posted on June 21st, 2010 by admin in city manager | 10 Comments »

Who do you think they’ll be replacing him with?

Alex Ferguson might not have been able to resist all that money.

There’s been gossip about the Internazionale (ex) coach, Roberto Mancini joining. Remember a few years ago, even the great ex Manchester United man, Steve Coppell only lasted a few weeks – and ex-managers (great or otherwise) ran away when City suits approached them – City was the ‘bespectacled spotty red-head in the corner at the disco’, whereas Liverpool, United and other teams with grander histories were attractive, shiny and with everything in order. If the Arab boys plan to get rid of Mr. Hughes – and Mancini shuns their approach, it’ll be interesting to see how many of the contemptuous managers of the past might want a bit of the ‘blue life’.
What happened to the ‘turn around’ of teams taking time?

Who would you like to see as the next manager of Swansea City?

Posted on June 18th, 2010 by admin in city manager | 6 Comments »

Would you go for an experienced manager like Steve Coppell or someone new like Gary Speed or John Harston?

I think I would like to try and get Chris Coleman as I think he is a fantastic manager but probably out of The Jacks budget.

What are Food City’s policies on a manager dating one of his employees?

Posted on June 15th, 2010 by admin in city manager | 2 Comments »

A female friend that I am concerned about is dating her direct manager at this time. They work at a Food City grocery store, so I was wondering what the policies on this are for this store chain, so that if they come to me for advice I can give appropriate advice.

Most companies forbid any type of fraternizing between managers and those under them. I was once written up for going to a concert with my cousin, who was another shift manager, and her daughter who worked under us.
