How do you run for city council?

More specifically, I’m in westminster, california and just wondering if anyone knew how hard it was to run for city council. It seems like it would be insanely easy to win with absolutely no experience, but I’m just curious as to what the requirements would typically be to run for city council (law degree? college degree? nothing?) Thanks

Look for the Board of Elections website. They have a lot of good information to get you started.

In most cities you have to be 18 and live in the city where you’re running for city council. The best thing to do is go to city hall and ask in the city clerk’s office.
